One of the newest fat reduction methods on the market today is called UltraShape. How is UltraShape different from the other fat reduction or body shaping procedures available today?

Read our 3 questions you may have about UltraShape to get the skinny on this easy body shaping tool.

What is UltraShape?

UltraShape is a nonsurgical body-shaping procedure that selectively destroys fat cells safely, permanently and nearly painlessly. If you can pinch it, we can treat it!

UltraShape targets unwanted fat that has been resistant to diet and exercise by utilizing high-frequency ultrasound waves. These ultrasound waves “shake” the fat cells and cause them to burst, releasing their contents for your body to burn off as energy. The end result is body contouring that shrinks the size of the target area. Fat reduction appears more natural as it appears to melt away over 1-2 months of treatment more similar to how you would normally lose weight.

Treatable areas include the abdomen, flanks (aka love handles), inner thighs and outer thighs. UltraShape procedures are completed in a series of 3 treatments, spaced out about every two weeks. This procedure is ideal for someone with areas of unwanted fat who does not want to undergo surgery.

UltraShape is not…

UltraShape is not a “quick fix," nor can it be used for bulk weight loss. We often refer to UltraShape as a tool to help you achieve your body shaping goals. In order to see good or even average results, candidates need to do their work outside of our office. This includes exercising regularly and maintaining clean, healthy eating habits! UltraShape is not a skin-tightening device; it will reduce the targeted fat, but is not meant to tighten the skin.

How do I know if I’m a candidate for UltraShape?

Because UltraShape is intended to treat stubborn but targeted areas, ideal candidates for the procedure are generally physically fit and have reached most of their weight loss goals. Healthy patients with reasonable expectations, stable weight and an established exercise regimen are most likely to see positive results.
